Powerful Zoom

The new camera features a powerful zoom that enables photographers to capture far and near objects with high precision. The new SX 40 HS standard speed offers 2.4 frames per second and the High-speed Burst HQ mode is able to give you 10.3 frames per second.

Improved Smart AUTO mode

This new DSLR camera is able to detect some additional scene types when it is in the Smart AUTO mode. The previous SX30 could detect 28 scene types whereas this new camera offers 4 additional modes.

Do you love recording videos for personal collection? Now, you can get videos with better quality image using this new camera. The new SX40 HS is able to capture Full HD movie with 1080p resolution. At this resolution, the recording rate is only 24 frames per second. By recording movie with this camera, you can get simple sharing and editing. This camera supports Apple iFrame Movie format that allows users to edit their video in common software programs.

This new model presents HS System combined with 12.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor to capture low-noise images in various conditions.
