It has a great feature which I truly love. You can turn off the sound, flash and AF Beam in quiet areas. Great for when you're snapping away at a wedding and don't want to disturb anyone.

Camera Optical Zoom

I mentioned before about taking the Canon Powershot A2200 to the beach. One feature I can't live without is the macro mode. It allows me to get really close up and get beautiful images of the little details, like seashells, crabs, the intricate beauty of the sandy beaches, etc. No need to even look through the viewfinder when getting close up. Just look at the large, easy to see LCD display.

It isn't perfect...

The Canon Powershot A2200 isn't without faults. I guess for the great low price that it's available for, it can't have everything. If you want to connect it to your TV, the cord is sold separately. Not a big deal as it's pretty cheap, but you do have to remember to get it. If you want fancy features like shooting panoramas, then this camera is not for you.

All in all, by far it has the best feature set of all the cameras in this price range. I shopped around a lot and am pretty picky about images and features in a camera and the Canon Powershot A2200 beat the competition. Low cost, easy to use, great features and easy to carry. Battery life is great as it uses a Lithium-Ion battery.

If you're looking for a fun, easy to use, turn it on and it shoots compact camera, then this is the model to choose. Lots of features at the turn of a dial make it easy to do some really cool stuff. Photography is about making and taking great pictures, and the Canon Powershot A2200 lets you do just that. The toughest choice you'll have to make is the color. It comes in Black, Silver and some really cool colors.
